This is your neighborhood news platform. You are the reporter and your name will appear with every story you report. That's a big deal — and it comes with a simple responsibility: keep it real, keep it fair, and keep it safe for everyone in your community.

Here's what that means in practice.

What can you report?

Anything that affects your neighborhood, your community, or your daily life — road closures, local events, public safety alerts, community announcements, local business news, and stories that matter to the people around you.

It can be serious or fun. You can highlight a local issue, or report on your village fair or neighborhood sports match.

What you cannot report, and if you do, we will not publish

• Violence — no content that threatens, glorifies, or incites harm to any person or group

• Hate speech — no content that attacks people based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, nationality, or sexual orientation

• Nudity or sexual content — of any kind

• Images or video of children — without written permission from a parent or guardian

• Unverified accusations — if you're reporting wrongdoing, the person or organization you're naming has the right to respond. As a good reporter, try to get their perspective and include their contact number or email in your story so that our editors can cross check. It will help your story get published faster.

• AI-generated media — all photos and videos must be real and unaltered

• Misinformation or Disinformation — do not knowingly post false information

What happens if you break these rules

Your post will be removed. Depending on the severity, your account may be suspended or permanently banned.
